Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! For today's project, I've created this It's the Little Memories Mixed Media Tag. To create my tag, I've used a variety of the new products from Pam Bray and Nicole Wright as well as stamps from the Floral Collection. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my tag at home.
To start, you'll either need a white tag or die cut a tag out of white cardstock that measures 3" x 6". Place the Worn Graph Stencil overtop of the tag. Use a palette knife to put Texture Paste Opaque Matte through the stencil as desired. Remove the stencil and allow the tag to dry.
Next you'll need a stamp block, rub Candied Apple Distress Ink on the block and spritz with water and then stamp randomly on the tag as desired. Repeat the previous step if you want to add more red to the tag. Clean the block. Rub Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink on the block and spritz with water and then stamp randomly on the tag as desired. Repeat the previous step if you want to add more orange to the tag. Clean the block. Rub Lucky Clover Distress Ink on the block and spritz with water and then stamp randomly on the tag as desired. Repeat the previous step if you want to add more green to the tag. Clean the block. Rub Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink on the block and spritz with water and then stamp randomly on the tag as desired. Repeat the previous step if you want to add more yellow to the tag. Allow the ink to dry.
Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Bubble Snap stamp and stamp randomly on the tag as desired. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. Distress the edges of the tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Floral 4x6 Stamp Set, you'll need the three flower stamp. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Using a waterbrush and Watercolour Palette, colour in the floral image. Once the coloured image has dried, fussy cut it out. Ink the edges of the floral image using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the same stamp set, you'll need the two flower stamp. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp again on the same piece of watercolour cardstock. Using a waterbrush and Watercolour Palette, colour in one of the flowers on each of the stamped floral images. Once the coloured images have dried, fussy cut them out. Ink the edges of the flowers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Floral 2x3 Stamp Set, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the palm leaf and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp again on the same watercolour cardstock piece. Using a waterbrush and Watercolour Palette, colour in the palm leaves. Once the leaves have dried, fussy cut them out. Ink the edges of the leaves using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Little Things 4x6 Stamp Set, you'll need the quote stamp. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the quote stamp and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Cut the words out into six strips. Ink the edges of the word strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Foam square the three flower bunch to the bottom right side of the tag. Foam square one palm leaf to the top right of the flower bunch as desired. Foam square the other palm leaf to the bottom of the flower bunch as desired.
Adhere the two single flowers as desired to the left of the flower bunch in amongst the leaves.
Adhere the word strips to the left of the flower bunch as desired. I adhered some of them over top of the flowers and leaves.
To finish the tag, tie a twine bow through the top of the tag.
