Hello Friends! Karla back today with a pretty slimline card to share with you! I love the real estate you get on a slimline card - perfect for adding lots of fun touches. I had previously stencilled this pretty rainbow background from the Sweet Little One Rainbow Stencil with Distress Oxides, and ended up spritzing the stencil to use the negative image that I pressed on another white cardstock background. You can see that card here - Leave The Road Slimline Card. Well, it was time to put this panel to use!
I diecut the beautiful purple paper from Nicole Wright's New Ledger & Script Collection (in store soon or find it at our retailers) with a slimline frame die and layered the frame and panel on the background. I also used this same paper line to diecut some lovely green leaves to tuck behind my sentiment panel. I love the smooth texture of this paper and the awesome weight - totally perfect for diecutting!
For a sentiment, I stamped out the word HELLO using the Nicole Wright Ledger & Script stamp and then I used the Back To Basics 6x8 Brush Script Stamp to stamp the scripty Friend word with two tones of Distress Oxides. This is one of my favourite lettering stamps and it's so easy to create lovely words that look like it's one complete stamp. I fussy cut around the letters to create a bordered look and popped the word up over some shiny thread. A few glitter drops add just a little shine to finish it off! Think of all the possibilities just changing around your sentiments!
