Hello, Jenn Here!!! How are you all doing? My husband is currently off work, my kids are home from school indefinitely, and I am home for at least the rest of this week. The kids are starting their online schooling adventure this week, and we are all starting to settle into our 'new normal'. The kitten and puppy are definitely happy to have us all home all the time :) I hope all of you are finding your new normal and doing well!!!
I pulled out my favourite paper from the Masculine collection to create my layout for today! I just love woodgrain, and frames around a layout, so I especially love when a paper has both. I decided to use the large woodgrain frame as my background, and then cut out three little frames from another paper to matte my photos. I decided to use these little pictures of Fox that we took before he went to get his hair cut. He was wearing his favourite Chewbacca pj's and I teased him that he had Chewbacca hair. The pictures were printed at 2x3, so I cropped them just a tiny bit so they would fit perfectly inside my little frames with a border of the background colour behind them.
I used my craft knife to cut out the center of my background paper so that I could pop up the frame with some foam. I placed the frame on a piece of black cardstock, then put the center of the paper back inside the frame. I love the dimension this added, to give the frame a more realistic look. I also used some foam behind two of my little frames and built a little photo cluster on the left side of the layout.
To embellish I pulled out some ephemera from the Floral collection. I just wanted a few little embellishments around the photos, and on two corners of the frame. I also picked a flair from Child at Heart to put in the bottom corner of the frame. For my title I used some Pink Paisley alpha stamps, and heat embossed them with Emerald Creeks Northern Lights, and Midnight Magic embossing powders. I heat embossed three wood veneer hearts with the Midnight Magic embossing powder as well, and put on in the top corner of the frame and the other two around the photos. To finish the layout, I just had to add a few little green sequins, and a label from the Forever and Always collection for my journaling.
